Full Circle: From 2007 to Now
In 2007, I started this blog as a wide-eyed college student stepping into the unknown world of higher education. I had no idea how much my life would evolve, the paths I’d take, or the resilience I’d develop along the way. Fast forward to today, I’m closer than ever to graduating with my degree from William Paterson University—a journey that feels like both a triumph and a homecoming.
The Journey Back to School
Going back to school wasn’t just a decision; it was a commitment to growth, a way to honor my goals, and a step toward proving to myself that it’s never too late to chase your dreams. Balancing coursework with my professional and personal life has been a challenge, but one I’ve embraced. Each class brings me closer to that degree, and now, as I prepare to graduate, I can’t help but reflect on how far I’ve come.
The Cinemark Chapter
Managing a Cinemark theater has been one of the most dynamic experiences of my life. It’s not just about movies (although, let’s face it, working in the world of cinema is pretty cool); it’s about leading a team, meeting ambitious goals, and creating unforgettable guest experiences. Whether it’s coaching team members, analyzing performance data, or just ensuring every detail meets the company’s standards, I’ve poured my heart into making my theater a place where magic happens—both on and off the screen.
The Goodwill Mission
On the other side of my professional world is my role with Goodwill. Leading the relaunch of the E-Commerce department has been an exciting project, blending leadership with process improvements and communication. Goodwill’s mission is about so much more than donations—it’s about making a meaningful impact in people’s lives. Whether it’s coordinating e-waste initiatives or empowering E-Commerce Champions, I’m proud to contribute to a cause that aligns with my values.
What’s Next
As I near graduation, I can feel the shift—the possibilities ahead, the culmination of years of hard work, and the excitement for what’s next. My current roles at Cinemark and Goodwill have taught me so much about leadership, adaptability, and perseverance, and I can’t wait to see how these lessons shape the next chapter of my life.
Looking Back, Looking Forward
This blog started as a place to chronicle my academic life, and now it feels like the perfect place to celebrate how it all comes full circle. I’m still learning, still growing, and still striving. But most importantly, I’m living proof that no matter where you start, the journey is worth it.
To my readers who have been here since the beginning, thank you for sticking with me. To those just joining, welcome! Let’s see where this road takes us next.
Here’s to the next adventure—whatever it may be!
